SUSTAINABILITY AND THE ROAD TO NET ZERO

In 2022, Rockwood committed to reducing carbon emissions by joining the Race to Zero. They aim to use low energy products and renewable energy solutions wherever possible.

Rockwood’s team actively reduce CO2 emissions by cutting waste during manufacturing. Pre-preg off-cuts have been reduced by 50% through better pattern control and off-cut reuse. They have a Zero to Landfill policy, recycling most waste and sending non-recyclable waste for RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel).

To support the composites industry Rockwood endeavours to offer greener material options for customers’ components when appropriate to drive the industry toward a low emission future.
