Composite Technician
Rockwood Composites is seeking to recruit an experienced Composite Technician.
Based in Paignton, Devon, Rockwood is an engineering and manufacturing facility dedicated to the composites industry.
The successful candidate will be responsible for laminating mouldings for composite components, including preparation and polishing of moulds, moulding and assembly of composite components.
As a key member of our moulding team, you will contribute to the high-quality manufacturing of composite mouldings. Working collaboratively in a team environment, your role is crucial in producing the highest quality components for our busy and varied manufacturing order-book.
Main Duties
- Laminating and tooling across a broad range of products.
- Read and understand lay-up specifications.
- Checking route card instructions are correct.
- Following processes and ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times
- Use of hand tools.
- Identify laminating defects.
- Record daily time spent on jobs on weekly timesheet.
- Adhering to production schedules.
- Uphold and promote high standards of workmanship.
- Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by the Team Leader.
- Maintain a tidy workstation and working area through basic housekeeping duties.
- Be accountable for your work, ensuring correct use of PPE.
- Uphold company HSE standards and report any shortfalls.
Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience in working composites would be advantageous.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
- Capable of working to deadlines in a time-conscious manner.
- Previous experience in the composite industry or similar high-quality-driven industry is preferred.

Salary package negotiable on experience
40-hour week Monday to Friday
Overtime on offer
Holiday 23 days plus Bank Holidays
